Volunteer Application Procedures
As part of the Corona-Norco Unified School District's ongoing effort to enhance school safety, the district has established new procedures for volunteers. A new application form has been created, as well as procedures for background checks for school volunteers. Following are procedures for volunteer applicants.
For volunteer applicants who will be working LESS than four hours per week, the following procedures shall apply.

- Submit a completed Volunteer Application to the school site.

- School site staff verifies that the applicant will be assigned less than four hours per week (on average).

- Site staff verifies that the applicant is not listed on the State of California Megan's Law website.

For volunteer applicants who will be working MORE than four hours per week, the following procedures shall apply.

- Submit a completed Volunteer Application to the school site and proof of a negative TB test.

- Site staff verifies that the applicant will be assigned more than four hours per week (on average).

- Site staff verifies that the applicant is not listed on the State of California Megan's Law website.

- Site staff faxes the volunteer application to Human Resources (Fax Number: 951-736-5077).

- Site staff gives the volunteer applicant a Live Scan Request Form and the volunteer applicant makes an appointment at one of the listed facilities below for Live Scan fingerprinting. SAME DAY scanning is available at the locations listed below.

- The Volunteer applicant needs to take a "snap shot" pic on their cell phone for their records a proof scan was completed and email it to our office here at Coronita Elementary.

- Processing time is 24 hours up to 45 days before clearance is given.

- Following fingerprinting, if approved, an approval letter will be forwarded to the school and applicant from Instructional Support (951-736-5129)

- An approval letter, unless rescinded, is permanent; a volunteer applicant does not need to be re-fingerprinted in future years (this is because the district will receive any subsequent arrest reports for the fingerprinted applicant in perpetuity).

Applications can be printed from the district's website or completed online and printed by clicking HERE.
